BIOGRAPHY

Education

I graduated in medicine (BA in medical sciences, cum laude, University of Namur) and in law ( (licence en droit, magna cum laude, Université Libre de Bruxelles and LL.M. Columbia University Law School - BAEF Fellow).

Early Career

I started my career with international law firms Cleary Gottlieb and Linklaters, where I practiced corporate law (corporate governance, M&A, and joint ventures). I then joined the international legal department of Engie to work on infrastructure project development and financing across Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

The Turning Point

After ten years of legal practice, I started his own management consulting firm (Frahan Consulting). He completed the Entrepreneurship program of Solvay Business School and became a certified master practitioner of NLP (neuro-linguistic programming).

Expert in the legal profession

As a consultant, my initial focus was – logically – law firms and law departments. In 2006, I joined forces with Barend Blondé to set up FrahanBlondé, a management consultancy entirely dedicated to the legal professions. I have conducted a wide variety of consulting, coaching and training assignments for law firms and law departments. I have worked across Europe, in the US and in Asia, with lawyers from more than 25 different nationalities, for clients ranging from leading global law firms and in-house law departments to national and regional champions and niche firms.

Coaching leaders and their organisations

In parallel, I have increasingly been working with leaders and leadership teams in other sectors. Today, I work with CEOs, executive committees, senior executives and management teams on strategy formulation and communication, effective governance, organisational design, and high-performing leadership.

Consultant and visual artist

Since early childhood, I have always been drawing, painting and cartooning (my schoolboy’s notebooks were full of drawings). Later on, I made several painting exhibitions, published cartoons in newspapers, and kept filling drawing books. A pivotal moment was a graphic facilitation course with David Sibbet. Since then, I have been blending my graphic talent and consulting work in a very distinctive manner: visual talks.

Teaching and writing

I am an Associate Professor at EDHEC Business School. I have published several books, and many more are in the pipeline.
